The PADI Instructor Development Course IDC is the core of PADI Instructor training and consists of two parts: the Assistant Open Water Instructor, followed by the Open Water SCUBA Instructor OWSI program.

Building on the knowledge of a Divemaster, a level you achieved prior to joining an Instructor Development Course IDC, you will learn how to apply that knowledge to teach others.

The PADI Instructor Development Course IDC curriculum is 16 days, during which you will get to know the PADI Guide to Teaching workbook, other education materials and PADI videos, intimately.

Courses covered include Teaching the PADI Open Water Course, Continuing Education, Discover Experiences, Recreational Dive Planner, Lesson Planning & Presentations, Conducting Confined & Open Water Sessions, Legal Responsibility & Risk Management and Marketing Your PADI Course.
