The Eve of the November IDC in Sabah, Borneo

Crazy group of IDC candidates, with resident PADI Course Director Richard far left and Go Pro team members Bob and Welson also in the mix.

The time has arrived for Downbelow’s last PADI Instructor Development Course held here in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo.

Starting tomorrow, the IDC runs through 19 November before wrapping up with the PADI Instructor Exam immediately following on 20 and 21 November.

All signs point to another successful IDC and resident PADI Course Director, Richard Swann, looks forward to continuing Downbelow’s proud tradition of having a 100% success rate.

The Instructor candidates have spent much of the last week in our HQ here in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, prepping for the event which will kick-start their professional scuba diving careers.

Starting tomorrow the candidates will be mostly based at our PADI 5-star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya island again, where they have access to our fully equipped scuba diver training facilities.

They can also look forward to unlimited diving, which aides tremendously when it comes to getting the skills down pat.  We dive everyday from our beach-side dive centre and our Interns can choose between 3 daily boat dives or shore dives accessible via a giant stride from our jetty, or a casual stroll in from the beach.

Of course resident PADI Course Director Richard and his experienced, highly qualified Go Pro Team will oversee their progress and is always on hand to help.

The November IDC is the last scheduled IDC for 2012, but fear not, 2013′s schedule is already up and showing our next IDCs.
