Fleeting Whale Shark Sighted in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Earlier in the week we posted about having seen a whale shark over the weekend in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Our resident PADI Course Director Richard Swann, assisted by pro intern Liz Street, was conducting the Fish ID dive of an Adventure Diver course when a pair of whale sharks made an appearance.

David Taylor, one of the University of Glamorgan students, had a camera with him, and managed to snap the picture you see above.

March, traditionally, is the end of the whale shark season, but it’s been such a spectacular whale shark year so far, that we hope it will last a little longer.

Hopefully we’ll have a few more whale shark sightings in Sabah during April.

Here’s hoping!
