Easing into the new role of PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor

Victorley taking care of a group of Discover Scuba Divers under Cyril's supervision

Victorley, local diving intern, was one of the candidates who successfully completed the recent Instructor Development Course we presented in May.

Not one to let opportunity pass him by, Victorley quickly got into the driver seat when a group of Discover Scuba Divers needed guiding.

Under close supervision of Cyril, one of our more experienced instructors, Victorley took to the task like a triggerfish to water.

Resident PADI Course Director Richard Swann was also nearby having a looksy. “It’s always a good idea to assist as much as possible on various courses when you 1st achieved your Instructor level.” he said. “It will help you not only gain knowledge, but also confidence in your work.”

All Downbelow’s interns have the opportunity to gain real world experience. After all, we do dive every day.

To join our next IDC, which is coming up in September, get in touch, and let us help you Go Pro with Downbelow.
