Rescue Divers become PADI Divemasters with Downbelow in Kota Kinabalu

Brian and Melissa now professional PADI Divemasters

It was just 2 short weeks ago that Brian and Melissa joined Downbelow’s PADI Divemaster program in Kota Kinabalu.

Taking that first step into the professional realm of scuba diving, they spent the last couple of weeks with us on Gaya island, just offshore from Kota Kinabalu.

Soaking up as much information, skills and practice as we had to give – and we have a lot to give – the 2 quickly proved to have the mettle for the role of PADI Divemaster.

Richard and his Go Pro team ensured that standards were upheld and adhered to as Brian and Melissa sailed their way towards becoming PADI professionals.

Speaking of sailing – Brian, who is a boat captain, and Melissa, who is part of his crew, will set sail from Sutera Harbour Resort shortly, for diving all along the coast of Sabah and wherever else their boat may take them.

Now that they are scuba diving professionals, Downbelow wish them the best fishes and bon voyage!
