Chance Meeting With Dolphins For Our Intern

Downbelow team and students met a pod of dolphins yesterday.

Our intern Jonny Kealy is with us here in Sabah, Borneo where it’s easy to be continually amazed by the beautiful scenery and abundant marine wildlife found at TAR Park.

However, he probably never thought he would meet a pod of Pacific Bottlenose dolphins here.

According to our resident PADI Course Director Richard Swann, they were going back to the dive centre after conducting the Underwater Photography Speciality Course when they saw the dolphins frolicking about in the waters.

The dolphins are known to pass by the islands at this time of the year on their migratory route.

Indeed, Richard said, it was such a pleasure to see the cute marine animals taking a break from their journey.

All the more reason to consider doing your IDC internship here in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with Downbelow.

With rich marine life and only a few minutes from the city, this truly is paradise. Just ask the dolphins!

Contact us and let us assist you on how you can get certified in our own marine heaven.
