Sabah, Borneo to Host November PADI Instructor Course

Our September 2012 batch of IDC candidates, all of who passed with flying colours.

Sabah, Borneo is the location for the next PADI Instructor Development Course taking place in November.

Hosted by Downbelow’s PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre under the guidance of resident PADI Course Director Richard Swann, the November IDC promises to deliver more of the same high quality, safety-centric Instructor development that has seen the dive centre achieve and maintain a 100% success rate.

Based in Kota Kinabalu, Downbelow’s head office and dive shop is situated in KK Times Square on the Borneo mainland, while their dive centre’s just offshore from Sabah’s coast, 10 minutes away by boat on Gaya island in the nearby Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park.

Downbelow’s most recently PADI IDC, which wrapped up in the middle of September, was a huge success, with all 7 candidates passing the Instructor Exam and becoming PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors in Sabah, Borneo.

“Hard work and professional guidance,” said resident CD Richard, “is the key to success.”

Indeed, Downbelow has an extremely professional Go Pro Team, lead by Richard and staffed by a very experienced, highly trained staff.

“Safety is paramount,” Richard added, “which is why we not only follow PADI regulations and procedures, but also the stringent requirements of the British HSE.”

Downbelow’s IDC Alumni frequently comment on the high quality of our equipment and safety that they encounter here in Sabah, Borneo.

We look forward to the next PADI IDC scheduled for 8 – 19 November, followed by the PADI Instructor Exam on 20 & 21 November.
