With IDC Intern Paul now a fully qualified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, he is continuing his internship with us here at Downbelow and gaining valuable teaching experience as he does.
Our IDC internships are pretty flexible, and as long as the IDC and IE falls somewhere within the internships, having extra time before or after is beneficial either way.
Starting the internship before the IDC means ample time to gain the experience and get comfortable with the requirements of the Instructor Development Course and Instructor Exam.
Having extra time after the IDC means that the fully qualified instructor is able to cement their new qualification by applying it to and gaining real experience with actual students.
This is where OWSI Paul is at at the moment and with the 2 groups we are hosting on the island, he is getting a healthy dose of group management experience as a bonus too.
