Our Sep IDC Candidates Taste Success in PADI Exam

Success! The entire PADI IDC Class of September 2012 has graduated and are now fully fledged PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors.

“Great job guys”, said elated resident PADI Course Director Richard Swann last night after the exam results were release.

Our batch of 7 IDC candidates sat for their exams over the last 2 days and had to demonstrate to PADI Examiner George Weggman that they had the right stuff to become PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors.

Richard, Downbelow’s MD and resident PADI Course Director prides himself on his 100% IDC pass rate. The success of his students is his success too, and this latest batch has again illustrated Richard and Downbelow’s commitment to excellence.

“They made us all proud,” he said about the 7 candidates becoming Instructors, “well done!”

Our newly minted Instructors now head off into the diving industry, but not as inexperienced green horns. No, all our instructors have been on Downbelow’s professional internship leading up to the IDC.

The benefits of the internship is real-world experience with dive centre operations and hands-on experience assisting Downbelow’s full-time staff with our clients.

Over the two or so months they had spent with us, they have gained working knowledge of the dive industry, and thus approach future employers with a fleshed out resume that will allow them to hit the ground running.

With our September IDC wrapped up we now focus on the next PADI IDC which takes place in November. From 8 – 19 November we run the next PADI Instructor Development Course, while the PADI Instructor Exam will follow on 20 & 21 November.

Take your diving qualification to the next level and become a diving instructor. Email us or contact us in any other way and let’s talk about how you can live the diving dream when you Go Pro with Downbelow.
