New OWSI Take on Speciality Instructor Courses in Kota Kinabalu

Capturing the playfulness of the newly qualified Open Water Instructors during their photography course

After the recent Instructor Development Course that Downbelow hosted for the month of May, several of the candidates stayed behind to complete their professional diving internships with us.

It was also a great opportunity to squeeze resident PADI Course Director Richard for every bit of knowledge they could.

Richard, ever game for being squeezed for knowledge, spent the weekend presenting a slew of speciality instructor courses for the eager students.

Amongst the courses is the always popular PADI Digital Underwater Photography course, which thanks to years of experience in the field, Richard has tons to share about.

As can be seen from Downbelow’s photography collection, the man has snapped a photo or two and knows his stuff, and the candidates benefitted richly from it.

Check out the Facebook album of shots taken by the students during their PADI Underwater Photography course, all with our rental Canon G12s with Underwater Housing.

In addition to the photography course, the candidates also tackled Nitox, Wreck, Deep & Fish ID Instructor courses, helping them reach PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and making them ripe for the employment picking.
