Time has flown by for our professional scuba diving interns Leanne and Sara who have just completed the PADI Divemaster courses with Downbelow.
Sara, the adventurous Dane who first visited Downbelow in October last year, returned for her professional internship in January this year.
The 2 months she have spent at our PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre have flown passed and not only has she reached the PADI Divemaster milestone of the internship, but she has also racked up over 100 dives doing so.
Sara is not done with Downbelow yet though, as she now becomes an Instructor Development Course intern.
Her next goal is the IDC we’ll be hosting in May this year, which will make a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor out of her. Much water has to flow under the bridge before then though…
Leanne, on the other hand, wraps up her time with the Downbelow family by gaining her Divemaster qualification.
She also joined Downbelow in January and immediately got down to the business of professional scuba diving.
Together with Sara and recent recruit Liz, the 3 ladies have been a formidable Girl Power team. Rumours of them intimidating resident PADI Course Director Richard, have remained just that; rumours.
The sisterhood, no doubt, will sorely miss Leanne, but instead of losing a friend, hey have gain a PADI Divemaster sister…
Alas! As the fiery sun drops into South China Sea, we turn our gaze to the horizon and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead. An exciting career for some, the challenge of the IDC for others.
Fin hard, buddies. Fin hard.
