Our International Intern Paul, with us to become both a Divemaster and a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, was busy with all things diving recently.
Based at Downbelow’s PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Paul teamed up with fellow intern, Clarence, who is with Downbelow under the local internship program.
Together they took part in a Discover Scuba Diving course, with Paul playing the role of the teacher and Clarence the role of the student.
PADI IDC Staff Instructor Alvin was on hand to oversee everything and make sure that high standards were adhered to and procedures followed.
Clarence signed up for a year under the Sabahan Internship Program and will receive top drawer diver training.
At the end of the year, as a Sabahan, he will have the opportunity to join the company as a permanent member of staff and be employed as a Divemaster.
