A deep dive scenario must be set up by the student divers, and not the Instructor!
Resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann is assisted by one of our dedicated and full time PADI Instructors, Timmy, to conduct the deep dive scenario from the PADI Divemaster course for our group of local and international Go PRO internship candidates.
Student divers qualifying to become a dive leader must be confident in setting up a deep dive and the practical experience of our interns organizing the dive as a team will be valuable for similar experiences they may have in their future dive careers.
Skills evaluated by Richard and Timmy will be the students’ aptitude with tying knots, underwater navigation, general supervision, conduct and good judgment on safety. The practical skills are already mastered in previous PADI courses and programs, and are practiced on land before the dive too. Our interns’ favourite part of the deep dive scenario is securing an air supply from the small pony bottle they set up as their emergency at 5 metres!
