Final assessment is the simplest!

Once a student diver has mastered all the skills from the confined water dive training of the PADI Open Water Diver course, the open water dives will go smoothly!

Our PADI Instructors congratulate their PADI Open Water student divers of our 7th group of UK-based Gap Year Adventurers’ from Camps International! The final open water dive of their course offers the most fun because there’s only a few dive skills integrated within the dive and they’re skills already mastered in confined water!

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is conducted in a similar fashion, with the first few teaching presentations to familiarize with the experience of teaching in a confined water environment. The foundation of skill organization and control in confined water is crucial for the IDC candidate to fine tune their skills of leadership, and that will certainly be tested in their open water teaching presentations for good reason! Open water is set by PADI Standards to be conducted at a depth of 5 metres or deeper, which means the level of supervision must be superior for the safety of their student divers.

As part of our Go PRO internship programs, IDC candidates will receive the dedication and support of our Go PRO team of PADI Instructor Trainers who will counsel our candidates to a level that will develop their instructional skills to excel at their Instructor Examination (IE) and beyond!
