Excellence by Local Intern after IDC in Sabah, Malaysia

Not-really-so Big Victorley entertaining a big group of rec divers at Downbelow's PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island

Richard Swann, Downbelow’s resident PADI Course Director, proudly reflects on Victorley Marden, one of our Professional Scuba Diving Internship graduates from Sabah, Malaysia.

Big Vic, as he is known on the island, is now on the full-time staff of Downbelow, but it wasn’t so long ago that he joined us as a quiet, inexperience intern on our Local Internship program.

That was back in June 2011. Early on it was obvious that Victorley was keen and through hard work he went on to qualify as a PADI Instructor in May 2012.

Today Richard proudly looks at Big Vic, an excellent Downbelow PADI Instructor.

Thanks to the nurturing he received during his internship program here in Sabah, Malaysia, Victorley has grown into a confident, professional scuba diver.

He delivers effortless, entertaining briefings, like he did yesterday to a big group of recreational divers at our PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya island.

Big Vic has only started his career as a PADI Professional and Richard looks forward to big things from him.
