Conservation Efforts by Downbelow Didn’t Go Unnoticed

For the year 2012, the our PADI 5 Star Dive Centre has seen a lot of activities.

However the most important events that we are passionate about are those related to conservation and preservation of the environment around us.

Downbelow are fully committed to taking care of the environment and to spread the awareness, we always get our interns to be involved in our efforts.

We regularly have beach clean-up events and removal of illegal fishing nets found within the  protected vicinity of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. All of our past and current interns were fully involved in all of our activities.

This is a very invaluable lesson for our interns so when they become diving professionals they will know what to do if they stumble upon an illegal fishing net.

Downbelow’s conservation effort received a boost when Project AWARE Foundation selected us as their featured member for the month of December. Our activities are highlighted to divers visiting their website from all over the world.

Email us on how you can start learning with us and at the same time, help saving the marine life.
