As with anything, student divers cannot be expected to begin their dive education in the deep water – literally and figuratively!
Conducting the entry-level PADI Discover Scuba Diving, PADI Scuba Diver and PADI Open Water, must be done so in especially shallow waters to orientate student divers to gradually gain confidence and comfort.
An Instructor Development Course (IDC) is no different in respect to the pace of learning the system of dive education.
PADI Standards requires for presentations to be delivered at different stages of completion of the IDC, so our candidates acquire the understanding for their in-water skills presentations and ultimately achieve their hard-earned success in the PADI Instructor Examination (IE).
Before our IDC starts, Go PRO internship candidates enrolling on the IDC are invited to our pre-IDC preparation session for the few days before the official orientation of the IDC. It’s highly recommended by our experienced team of PADI Instructor Trainers, that any Pro divers without very recent experience should participate. However, all candidates can benefit from learning what improvements to their instructional abilities need attention during the IDC.
