Operations Manager and PADI Master Instructor Paul is conducting the PADI AWARE Shark Conservation Distinctive Specialty course to educate his students on the conservation status of sharks.
Paul will introduce through a relaxed presentation or discussion on the various topics that are concerned with shark conservation, such as shark biology and behaviour and the threats sharks face, particularly the brutal practice of shark finning.
Paul’s students will be supervised on an open water dive within the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park and note any hazards to the shark population. They must appreciate the human element as a cause of environmental damage, such as pollution with marine debris.
This is by far the most evident form of human influence that concerns environmental pollution. Marine debris is another problem highlighted by Project AWARE and supported by us at Downbelow, as well as a campaign to ban shark finning, and there is a definite correlation between the two!
Get in touch as soon as possible with one of our team at our Head Office in KK Times Square to discuss a flexible itinerary to learn about Shark Conservation or even to progress your Go PRO career and educate your future student divers’ on how to change the world!
